I am a coffee geek. It is the only way I can describe my unnatural fascination with coffee. The intricate flavour of coffee is like appreciation of fine wine. The complexity of flavour, from the many different types of beans make coffee, as diverse as the grape on the palate. I have long worshipped the bean and like the black gold straight up in a double espresso. My love affair with the brew began when working in Italy, stopping each morning at the local cafe for a coffee. I was young and had been brought up in a Nescafe family where the coffee machine was an electric kettle and the drip-o-lator only came out for the really posh guests.
