[Pinned] Mrs Walsh's Restaurant Review : 'Spice I am'

Spice I am

Thai food is ‘Narcotic cuisine’ for me as the minute I have that first bite, I’m left craving more. The highly addictive array of aromatic flavors, make elegant sufficiency, a crime against cuisine. My adoration of all things Thai is quite evident on my blog, from my culinary adventures to Phuket and Phi Phi Don and cooking classes on the white sands of Khao Lak. There’s no denying I’m in love with Thailand, so no one need ask me twice for a date with ‘Spice I am’. Unlike drunken photos on Facebook, Thai food should always be shared. For this gastronomic experience I brought along a culinary wingman, my husband.

Sexy Salmon Salad

This is a fresh clean dish perfect for you feel like you’ve been president of the carb festival and think it’s time to step down as it's leader.

The Yard Chardonnay 2010

What Mrs Walsh Says:

The Yard is the Swiss army knife of Chardonay as the minute you have that first sip your entire day is fixed.

Cherubino Chardonnay

What Mrs Walsh Say:

I just had a religious experience which as you can imagine for an Atheist is a miracle.  It was a drop to your knees and praise the lord kind of moment when that first drop of  delectable Cherubino Chardonnay reached my lips. Like a high class hooker it teased my palate until the seduction was complete and I was left wanting more.

[Pinned] The Living Room Ultimate Working Holiday Competition

"FANCY 10 DAYS IN SOUTH AFRICA?"

THE LIVING ROOM'S 'ULTIMATE WORKING HOLIDAY COMPETITION'

Once upon a time I had the ultimate working holiday which lasted four years on a television show called 'Escape With ET'. I was a television presenterwhose job description included presenting stories on skydiving, swimming with dolphins, sitting on a real live croc, barrel rolling in a jet fighter and even completing the world's highest bungee jump in South Africa.  As you can imagine it was torture and I disliked every moment of it (especially the travel to exotic locations) It was more horrendous than free chocolate or cuddling kittens.

[Pinned] Paradise in Phuket

Phuket

Hottest Accomodation : Ayara Resort and Spa Kamala

Finding luxury digs without the price tag to match, in an unspoiled part of Phuket is like asking a simpleton to define the word infundibulum. From the  glowing testimonials and photo-shopped pictures provided by resorts to the impossible to please but happy to vent crowd on travel review sites, making a decision on where to stay can be mission impossible. The island gets a bit of an unfair bad wrap due to party central Patong when there is so much more to the paradise that is Phuket.

[Pinned] Paradise on Phi Phi

Zeavola, Phi Phi Island

Phi Phi Island, long touted, as a bucket list destination for the dramatic limestone cliffs which rise and fall into the ocean, blew my expectations out of the turquiose coloured water. As a travel writer who had already racked up more than a few frequent flyer points travelling the globe in a previous life as a model, it's a big wrap but one I'm prepared to back . Ignore any bad press about crowded boats with day tripping tourists making the area busier than a Westfield car park at Christmas, for that is one small bay made famous by a Leonardo DiCaprio movie and no where near the utopia that is Zeavola.

Diary from Khao Lak, Thailand

Stepping off the plane in Thailand I was embraced by a tropical heat more welcome a first class upgrade after leaving a chilly 11 degrees in Sydney.

[Pinned] Vomo Island Fiji Comptition

Vomo Island Competition

Oh to be in the warm Fijian, sun poolside with a margarita instead of sitting in my office looking out the window to a view of a wet tree. This time last year I took my week long "Dam it's cold, get me the hell out of here" vacation I went to spectacular Vomo island in Fiji. I blogged about it:

www.mrswalsh.com.au/Blog/tabid/6661/entryid/238/Paradise-found-at-Vomo-Island.aspx

I bragged about it:

(One of my many candid snaps... so unaware )

If you have been to Vomo bellow are the details of a competition which will let you brag about your trip to paradise all over again. Upload your best photo's and you could win a snazzy new camera and have your friends green with envy having to view you on your awesome holiday one more time.
